Moonlight Miner Initial Prototype

Greetings fellow citizens!

This is the initial prototype for Meteor Miner. So far only the essential parts of the game have been included and there are many plans to add much more.

Currently the player is able to move around a world that randomly spawns asteroids. These asteroids will damage the player if the player is hit and can be destroyed using the player's weapons. How much rock can you mine without dying?

I am working on this project for a Game Design module at university and will be focusing on the Game Design aspects of this game to begin with. I do hope to be able to continue working on this game once I have completed this module of work. Any suggestions or ideas would be great and would help me a lot.
